The principles of this Maternity Units Sentinel Network are:

• the volontary service
• the inclusion of public and private maternity units from all over of France
• the setting-up of a centralised file, by sending a sub-file containing the deliveries of each maternity unit to a centralising service
• the feedback of the data to the maternity units every year in december, to compare their own results to the rest the centralised file. Maternity Units which send us datas from whole year receive a free dashboard .
